The Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, contemplates admission and rejection of documents in evidence and the due endorsements to be made thereon by the court. The expression “exhibit” is not defined in the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 1. The courts have evolved the practice of marking of exhibits while recording evidence, as a matter of convenience and for ease of identification. The latter, a separate topic by itself, is not dealt with herein. The present article proposes to deal with, in brief, about validly raised objections to admission (exhibition) of documents and the time at which such objections should be legally raised and entertained by the court in the course of recording evidence.Īdmission of a document in evidence is different from proof of its contents. The question then arises as to whether it is open to the court to relook at the admission of such a document, not objected to when tendered and marked as an exhibit in evidence? When and in what circumstances is this permissible and when does such admission become a fait accompli and beyond the scope of judicial review? Often times, the process raises a conundrum for judicial officers and lawyers, particularly when an objection is raised after the document is already admitted on record and marked as an exhibit. A document once admitted in evidence, without objection and marked as an exhibit by the court, becomes part of judicial record. This is a matter of vital importance often treated casually and overlooked. These documents can be taken on record by the court and read in evidence only if relied upon, produced, and exhibited in accordance with rules and settled principles laid down by the courts. Parties rely upon various documents in their pleadings and/or enlist such documents in support of their pleadings or contentions.

But if the first bird does not display it is almost certainly a hen. Unfortunately, this does not necessarily mean the introduced bird is a female. If the first bird is a male, it will immediately display to the newcomer. One method to sex Bengali is to place a single bird in a small cage completely isolated it from its own kind (both sight and hearing) and after several hours then introduce another Bengali to the cage. However, it is possible to determine gender by behavior since males tend to display to females. Obtaining a female-male pair can present a difficulty because both sexes look similar. They are also quite easy to breed provided they are properly sexed. This sociability is also responsible for their American name of "society finch."īengali finches are quite easy to look after. Thus they breed better if kept as single pairs in individual breeding boxes. In an aviary they lay eggs and crowd into a single nest, interfering with incubation (which is performed by the female and lasts 16 days) or damaging the eggs. These birds like to be close together and tend to all roost in one nest if kept in a group. Two males will usually accept eggs or even partly grown young without any hesitation. While two males may not get along without other company, it has been found the best "pairing" for fostering is to use two males, this works better than either two females or a male and female pairing. They breed well and are good foster parents for other finch-like birds. (video)īengali finches are well adapted to captivity and the company of humans. The birds are members of the estrildid finch family and most authorities consider them a domestic form of the white-rumped munia (known in aviculture as the striated finch) most likely derived from the subspecies Lonchura striata swinhoei although some have suggested a hybrid origin. Extensive research has been done and continues to be done on the different ways Bengali finch songs are produced, how they are processed in the brain, what characteristics of the songs are preferred by females, and how their songs compare to the also commonly studied zebra finch.Īlthough the English language literature on aviculture called these birds as Bengali finch, the German aviculturist Karl Russ called them in 1871 as Japanese mövchen (or mew, an old word for gull, possibly related to Chinese mövchen, a pigeon breed named in France and introduced to Germany around the same time for their resemblance to gulls). Īnother aspect of the Bengali finch that evolved throughout the centuries is song production. Coloration and behavior were modified through centuries of selection in Asia, then later in Europe and North America. There have been many theories of the origin of domestication for the Bengalese finch, and we now know it took place primarily in Japan. It became a popular cage and trade bird after appearing in European zoos in the 1860s where it was imported from Japan. Known as the Society finch in North America and the Bengali finch or Bengalese finch elsewhere, Lonchura striata domestica is a domesticated finch not found in nature. Boiled and dried, the rough horsetail plant is used in Japan as a traditional polishing material, finer than sandpaper. Shark skin ( placoid scales) has also been used as an abrasive, and the rough scales of the Coelacanth are used for the same purpose by the natives of Comoros. The first recorded instance of sandpaper was in 13th-century China when crushed shells, seeds, and sand were bonded to parchment using natural gum. This section lists events whose chronological order is ambiguous, backward, or otherwise incorrect. A small number such as 20 or 40 indicates a coarse grit, while a large number such as 1500 indicates a fine grit. The grit size of sandpaper is usually stated as a number that is inversely related to the particle size. Sandpaper is produced in a range of grit sizes and is used to remove material from surfaces, whether to make them smoother (for example, in painting and wood finishing), to remove a layer of material (such as old paint), or sometimes to make the surface rougher (for example, as a preparation for gluing). There are many varieties of sandpaper, with variations in the paper or backing, the material used for the grit, grit size, and the bond. "aluminium oxide paper", or "silicon carbide paper". It is common to use the name of the abrasive when describing the paper, e.g. In the modern manufacture of these products, sand and glass have been replaced by other abrasives such as aluminium oxide or silicon carbide. Sandpaper, also known as glasspaper or as coated abrasive, is a type of material that consists of sheets of paper or cloth with an abrasive substance glued to one face. Sheets of sandpaper with different grit sizes (40 (coarse), 80, 150, 240, 600 (fine)). Please consider expanding the lead to provide an accessible overview of all important aspects of the article. This article's lead section may be too short to adequately summarize the key points. In order to compare results, all of the numbers were checked with an online IEEE 754 float converter. The Verilog code below illustrates converting a 4-digit BCD number to it’s binary equivalent. We can this program by breaking it into functions that allow us to run different values through it. The sign bit was set at the beginning of the program when we determined whether to flip the bits of the LHS register from 2’s complement. This tells us the number of shifts that need to be performed in order to reconstruct the floating-point number from IEEE format. The exponent value comes from the length that the most-significant 1-bit is in. This gives us a complete mantissa value for the result. If there are, we should round the last bit of the mantissa to 1. If the RHS value gets shifted too far to the right and we lose precision, we need to check if there are any 1-bits to the right of where the value gets cut off. Since we stored our fraction starting in the MSB, we take the value from that register, shift it to the right however many binary digits the left value takes up, and OR the mantissa LHS value with the RHS fraction. The RHS fractional value must be combined with the LHS value already stored in the result register. Let’s Gray code to Binary code implementation in Verilog. Then we apply the AND operation to the mask and the LHS value, and shift the result into the most significant bit for the mantissa value (position 22). Gray code has its own applications and we have seen how binary code is converted to the Gray code in the previous post Binary to Gray Code Converter. Edit verilog file and add decimal to binary conversion code. Next, we need to edit CDF properties of the cell to. Let’s make a 6-bit decimal to binary decoder. To get the mantissa value, if there is a value in the left-hand argument, we find the most significant 1-bit and create a bit mask that is the length of the value excluding the most significant 1-bit. Decimal to Binary Decoder in Cadence using Verilog 1. Knowing this value allows us to treat the integer value like a decimal so that we can use a doubling technique to find its binary fractional approximation. We do this by finding a power of 10 that is greater than the RHS argument. The RHS is passed in as an integer, so we need to convert it to a binary fraction. We convert the left-hand argument to a positive binary number even if it was stored as a negative (2’s compliment). The following approach was used to generate a floating point number: The following article discusses exactly what a floating point number is. Get the integer quotient for the next iteration. A simple routine in Verilog HDL that converts integers into IEEE 754 Floating Point format. How to convert decimal to binary Conversion steps: Divide the number by 2. Gold can be obtained by completing quests, by taxing the city's population as well as attacking NPC's. The in-game monetary system revolves around gold. The game has two different monetary systems. Both Title and Rank require Medals gained by use of in-game coins to purchase medal boxes, by attacking valleys or winning medal boxes from spinning the wheel. To gain a title, a certain rank is necessary. The game allows the player to control up to ten cities through gain of titles. The game features player versus player game play making it possible to attack another player's cities making it almost impossible for players who have not formed or joined alliances to survive. Winning items in battle is the primary way to acquire resources and cities. Some items will accelerate the player's progression through the game. Īll of Evony 's items must be purchased with gems which can be bought with real money, through its item shop in game or won at the wheel. An army can include siege machines, such as ballistas, catapults, and battering rams, and foot troops, such as archers, warriors and swordsmen. As with similar games, the player first has to increase the city's population and hourly resource production rates as well as construction of certain buildings in the city, and then start building resource fields of their city and building an army. The resources in the game are gold, food, lumber, stone, iron and the city's idle population. The player sets tax rate, production and construction. This gives new players the opportunity to accumulate a few resources and troops and get accustomed to the game before other players can attack them. A new player is given "beginner's protection," which prevents other players from attacking their cities for a total of 7 days or until a player upgrades the town hall to level 5 or higher. Gameplay The gameplay of Evony.Įvony is set in a persistent world during the medieval time period in which the player assumes the role of a lord or lady of a city or alliance. The game became notorious for its original ad campaign, which featured scantily clad women (including models from pornographic film covers) that had nothing to do with the game itself. Two browser-based versions (Age 1 and Age 2) as well as a mobile version (The King's Return) exist. I moved the data folder to a backup (for tests) and start emby-server, its basically a new installation because all the settings are gone, i added the list and everything is fine.
